White Willow provides in-person and virtual outpatient/ online therapy utilizing a blend of techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Many studies have been done on the effectiveness of online therapy and in-person therapy and it can be just as effective. For some, online therapy has actually shown to be better depending on your situation and therapeutic needs.

A consultation is a phone conversation between you and your therapist to ensure that you are the right fit for each other. We will discuss your main concerns, questions, and what you expect out of your sessions. From there, we get to know each other briefly to make sure that you will feel comfortable to reach the best possible results. If White Willow then you will be scheduled for your first appointment. If not, you will be provided with referrals to make sure you can find your best fit.

Usually all therapy is weekly so that you are given adequate support while you are working through your concerns, managing symptoms, and building rapport between you and your therapist. As treatment progresses and skills are learned, treatment can be moved to every other week, and then monthly.

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a $40 fee.

Yes. All therapy is completely confidential between the therapist and the client. Even if someone else is paying for services nothing discussed goes outside the office.
However, there are exceptions. If there is any imminent concern of harm to yourself or others, abuse involving children or the elderly, or a legal subpoena.

Trust your gut and then do a consultation. Usually you feel a connection towards a therapist based on their description. Then you do a free phone consultation to get to know them and see how you feel. If you don't feel comfortable or understood then you can look into another therapist who may better meet your needs.
